HTC Rezound Review

Posted by TWIL on January 24th, 2012

htcr

I got my hands on the HTC Rezound from Verizon for the last week, so here’s my “quick” review on the device. Enjoy!

Updates / things I forgot to mention:

  • Battery life: Very decent. I don’t believe I saw a day when the battery dropped below 50% after a full day’s use (much like the battery on my Droid X)

It’s definitely been an interesting year, with a lot of ups and downs, but I feel the TWIL channel made significant progress in spite of the issues, and I look forward to doing more work in 2012. Thank you all so much for your continued support.

Droid Razr Device Overview and Full Review

Posted by TWIL on December 18th, 2011

dr

I’ve been using this device for about 2 weeks now, and I’m just.. well, I’m blown away. Powerful, fast, lightweight, sturdy. I couldn’t be happier with a device (perhaps). Check it out over at http://www.verizonwireless.com/droid-razr.shtml

Charity Project: Tux Penguin Clocks from Grants4Grands.net

Posted by TWIL on December 13th, 2011

tuxclock

I received an email from Joyce with Grants4Grands.net about two weeks ago. Their organization is selling ceramic Tux Penguin clocks for $ 20 to raise funds to support grandparents that are raising their grandchildren. She asked me to review one of the clocks, and I gladly obliged.

Pantech Breakout Final Review

Posted by TWIL on December 5th, 2011

pti

After about a week using the Pantech Breakout as a backup device, these are my opinions of the device and its software. One thing I definitely forgot to mention was the 3G and 4G speeds I observed. When I was on 3G, the speeds were slightly faster than my Droid X (also a 3G device on Verizon’s network), averaging about 1.5Mbps download, and 750Kbps upload, where my Droid X is usually less than 700Kbps up and down.
On 4G, the slowest speeds I saw were 6Mbps download, 3Mbps upload, and as high as 32Mbps download, 14Mbps upload, MUCH higher than Verizon’s promised speeds.

Pantech Breakout Device Overview and First Impressions

Posted by TWIL on November 30th, 2011

This is the first in (hopefully) a string of future Android device reviews, thanks to the people over at Verizon Wireless. Notice: I was not compensated in any way for reviewing this device.

In this video, I give a brief description of the device, some of its specs, and a few of my initial impressions. I’ll provide an updated video later on in the week, after I’ve had more time to use the device and form a proper opinion.

Franken-Puter Updates!

Posted by TWIL on November 28th, 2011

fp

I know it’s been a LONG time, but I thought I’d share with you the progress I made on the Franken-puter. I’m going to try to get back into regular updates over the next few weeks. I’m not sure about upcoming news videos. I’d like to make them again, they’re just extremely time-consuming. Thanks so much for your patience!

I know it’s been a LONG time since I posted anything. All I can really say is I’m sorry. Here’s what I’ve been up to recently, and I have to say, it was a load of fun. I hope you enjoy watching it, though the camera work is a bit terrible, I’ll admit.
